One thing I like about staying in the Executive room is the access to the Executive lounge. Not only you get to relax and have free access to the Internet there, you also get to sample various beverages, cocktails and savoury food...wahahahaha. Ooops... I am not that greedy fyi. :D
So here I am in the E Club using the free Internet access to update my blog while waiting for the cocktail table to be ready :O .
Alright promise to be back with my Tokyo trip report...and so here it is.
Tokyo ( 28-30 Jun ) - Part 1
After checking in at the hotel in downtown Tokyo, Matt, Sheila and I quickly changed into our new set of clothes and caught the 2030 hrs shuttle bus to Shinjuku Station.
Thanks to my good memory, I managed to bring the 2 of them to this very nice Ramen joint near the red light district in Shinjuku which Sandy brought me to a year ago ( N I did not 'hor lan'). Their ramen are a little different from the others and most importantly, their soup, which is pork base, is very very sweet and tasty.
Hungry faces waiting to try the popular Pork base Ramen. Guess what, you can refill the ramen and soup for free !!! So it resemble a little like a buffet eh...eat till u are full to the brim !!!
With some time to spare after our dinner, so what's next ?
Of course is to explore the night scene of Shinjuku and to take a peep @ its red light district...
Look @ their expressions especially Matt's hum sup face...wahahaha.
Threesome... poor Adel wasn't feeling well after arriving in Tokyo...must be Matt's fault :O
Sorry dudes, did not manage to take any pics of those sleazy bars or pretty babes at the red light district as its not really nice to do that :D. BUT those gals are damn chio :P:P:P Envy me eh...:D
Woke up very early the next day to meet up with the group to go for our Tokyo tour.
Shinjuku Subway Station
Look at the maze of subway lines...It may seem complicated at first but it's actually quite easy after some careful study :D. Anyway, I would say that the public transport in Tokyo is actually quite affordable according to cost of living in Japan. A few stations away cost approximately S$3. Not as expensive as I thought it would be :D. Of course, if you think u will travel a lot in a day, you can purchase a day pass for about 1000 yen ( approx S$13 ).
Breakfast @ McDonald
Their Mc Breakfast was really Oishiiiiiiiiii ne. Love it to the max :D
Sensoji (Asakusa Kannon Temple)
The Group : Wilfred, Jang Son, Linda, Shitla, Paulina and hum sup Matt in front of the Kaminarimon
Only the 3 of us...Adel was still ill and was recuperating in the hotel room
SNACK ATTACK !!!!!!!!!!!
The Group again in front of the Hozomon.
Paulina & I
Sources say to wave the smoke towards areas of your body that ache...what say u ? I thought it's for good luck...hmmm.
Do drink a little and then use the remaining water to wash your hands :D
It's crowded with worshippers and tourist inside the Main hall (Kannon Hondo)
Had some Japanese ice cream before we leave the place...
One interesting thing that caught our attention while walking towards the temple...
Next Stop : Snack Attack @ Ueno
Paulina brought us to this very big shop in Ueno that specialises in different kind of snacks. We bought LOTS of snacks especially our all-time favourite Bourbon Butter Cookies and Dried Scallops !!!
Weather hasn't been nice for the whole day - raining throughout. Not easy to manoeuvre in the crowd with an umbrella. Worse when both your hands are full of snacks.
Last Stop of the day : Shibuya
Nice Ramen... Oh I love those eggs.
Did not manage to visit Harajuku as planned due to the rain. Nevertheless, will definitely go there on my next trip.
Tokyo trip Part 2 coming up...Stay tune ><
Alright time to have log off.
